--Anchorage fighter Dave Mazany (6-3) was defeated by Canadian welterweight Ryan "The Real Deal" Ford at The Fight Club 7 in Edmonton on May 30.  Ford(9-2) went for a quick win, defeating Mazany with strikes 28 seconds into round one.

--Justin Buchholz was defeated by Terry Etim at UFC 99 June 13 in Germany.  Etim submitted Buchholz in the second round with a choke.  This was Buchholz third UFC fight.  Click here to watch the fight.


--Sitka raised Richie Whitson was eliminated from "The Ultimate Fighter 9" reality show when he was defeated by UK lightweight Ross Pearson by an armbar in the first round of their episode 7 bout.


--Current AFC Bantamweight Interim Champion Doug Evans will face Texas fighter Douglas Frey for the featherwight (145lbs) championship at Sharkfights 5 June 27 in Amarillo, Texas.  UPDATE: Fight was postponed due to a storm, but should be rescheduled soon.


--Scott McAfee (7-1) defeated Bill Theofanopoulos (3-2) with a second round knockout May 8 at Palace Fighting Championship 13 in Lemoore, California.
